The Certificate in Youth Ministry is designed for people who wish to develop their understanding and skills in adolescent evangelism. 


 

Distinctives
This certificate provides a way for students who may not be able to commit to a full degree an opportunity to study some basic insights into the dynamics of youth ministry.
 

Typical Students
Many students are currently working with youth in their church or on college campuses.
 

Normal Progression
The Certificate in Youth Ministry can be earned within an academic year.  However, many students pursue the program on a part-time basis and thereby extend their study over a longer period of time.  In addition to the daytime schedule and normal ten-week quarters, a full range of evening courses and intensive ten-day courses are offered regularly, making possible a flexible program of study.
 

Ministries
This certificate prepares students for work in youth ministry in local churches, parachurch organizations, or in high school and college groups.
 

Further Studies
Classes taken for this certificate can be used toward a master's degree.
 

Locations
The Certificate in Youth Ministry in overseen by Fuller's Institute of Youth Ministry at Fuller Colorado, and can be earned in Pasadena, Colorado Springs, Houston, Irvine, Menlo Park, Phoenix, Sacramento, or Seattle -- in coordination with attending two specific seminars at the tri-annual National Youth Workers Convention.
 

Online Options
Students may take any course through Distributed Learning that meets the requirements of this certificate.
