Fuller California Coast Moves to New Location

New facility brings campus under one roof, with nearly twice the space as before :: 07/31/12

The following comes from Michael McNichols, director of the Fuller California Coast regional campus.

Fuller California Coast has moved to a new location—17744 Skypark Circle, Suite 150, in Irvine—marking a significant step in the development of our regional campus.  

We have had a presence in Orange County for nearly 40 years, starting with an "office" in the former director's living room and classes that met in space borrowed from local churches and what was then known as Southern California College (now Vanguard University). We continued to grow steadily, and eventually moved to an Irvine office park, where we were located for almost two decades. During that time, we became a fully accredited, degree-granting campus, offering five different master's-level programs, including the MDiv.

Our new facility, about a half-mile away from the previous one, is nearly twice as large—and brings all our campus together under one roof. For the first time, in addition to two classrooms (one of which is equipped to accommodate Fuller Live! classes), we have a library, a student lounge, a seminar room, multiple "collaboration areas," and a large greenbelt area that's ideal for retreat activities. And it's a two-minute walk from a food court with a Starbucks! This new campus will enable us to serve our 150-plus current students—who commute to class from all over Orange and San Diego County—much more effectively, and will accommodate future growth.

In short, Fuller’s new California Coast campus provides students a flexible, well-equipped, and stimulating learning environment. We look forward to an October 6 dedication ceremony for our new location, where Fuller President Richard Mouw will lead a celebration involving faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends.
