The national edition of Deseret News recently highlighted Fuller faculty, staff, students, and alumni in an article about the seminary’s involvement with the movie industry. Professor of Faith and Public Life (and former president) Richard Mouw is among those interviewed, discussing the steady growth of evangelical engagement with the silver screen and doing ministry in a world where movies are pervasive and normative.
“The fact is, if you’ve got a church with several hundred young people, chances are on Friday or Saturday, they’ve seen a story from Hollywood and then they come to church,” Mouw is quoted as saying. “How are we going to tell our story in such a way that it really gets through?”
The story also contains interviews with Fuller faculty Kutter Callaway and alumni Tamisha Tyler and Justin Bell.
