The Guest Relations Representative is the initial contact for guests, students, staff, visitors, and faculty, who call, stay or visit the Fuller Guest Center. Providing superior and exemplary guest service is essential.

Essential Functions

  • Orchestrate Front Desk operations including answering incoming telephone calls, directing communications to/from guests, vendors, and staff
  • Maintain front desk records and changes of reservation records
  • Monitor occupancy and availability of rooms
  • Facilitate all aspects of guest reservations
  • Assist guests as needed
  • Perform check-in and check-out of guests
  • Run, analyze, and follow-up on front desk reports as directed
  • Adhere to front desk procedure manual, including opening and closing of reception office and guest facilities
  • Communicate effectively with Fuller campus departments to provide superior guest service
  • Report any shortage of supplies and/or maintenance issues to the director
  • Maintain an organized and well-kept work area/environment
  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Listen carefully to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information
  • Promptly answer the telephone, email inquiries and retrieve voicemail messages. Retrieve mail, packages and facsimiles or other special items for guests as requested
  • Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statement. Assist guests with check-out payments or charges. Accept and record all forms of accepted payment
  • Receive special requests from guests and respond appropriately or forward requests to appropriate team members for decisions and action needed
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervisor


  • High school diploma required, several years of college work preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of prior guest service experience preferred
  • Experience in hospitality field an asset
  • Friendly and positive attitude, excellent telephone voice
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to identify needs of others
  • General clerical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Computer literacy a must, knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office helpful
  • Must be available to work Monday – Sunday with shift hours ranging between 6:30am and 9:30pm
