Description

Provide general support to the Office of Human Resources. Assist in accomplishing daily processes and administrative tasks, especially those related to the front desk, data entry, preparation for employee training sessions, and Fuller’s employee intranet.

Essential Functions

Front Desk

  • Open and setup the office
  • Customer service in-person, email, phone, and voicemail
  • Facilitate requests sent to hr@fuller.edu
  • Provide initial support for time cards
  • Help walk-in employees complete I-9s and W-4s

Data Entry

  • Background and credit checks
  • Job postings on fuller.edu
  • Attendance at trainings
  • FullerFit program

Employee Training

  • Prepare NEW training packets
  • Setup and tear down for training sessions
  • Send calendar invitations to managers for New Employee Welcome (NEW) training
  • Sign new employees up for necessary follow-up training/communication

Administrative Tasks

  • General office filing, including making folders and photocopies to be filed
  • Digitize receipts, files, and other documents
  • Prepare training and information packets
  • Fax forms to different vendors

Requirements

  • Must be a current Fuller student and be eligible for Federal Work Study
  • Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Capacity to learn quickly and desire to expand knowledge of software
  • Ability to work independently and also work effectively as a member of a team
  • Good verbal and written English language skills, as pertains to business communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Adept in the use of Google Apps
  • Familiarity with HTML or CSS preferred
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Maintain an organized and presentable workspace
  • Ability to finish projects both quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated
  • Able to transport materials and refreshments up to 20 pounds

This position is subject to a background and credit check

Must be eligible for Federal Work Study. Federal Work-Study positions are open only to qualified U.S. Citizens and permanent residents whose eligibility to participate in the Work-Study program has been determined in advance by the seminary's Student Financial Services office
