Description

The Associate Director of Training and Client Services is a 30 hours per week administrative position held by a licensed clinical psychologist. The director is responsible for clinical training and client care for the organization and reports directly to the Clinical Director of Fuller Psychological and Family Services (FPFS). The Associate Director ensures that FPFS’ quality of training and client care meets or exceeds professional standards. Additionally, the Associate Director will have the option of joining the Clinical Practice Plan, which provides the opportunity to see clients in their Fuller Seminary Office.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Clinical Director to ensure that the training and oversight of clinicians meet or exceed professional standards. Foster a program and supervisory team management to ensure client care that meets the needs of our service area
  • Provide direct clinical supervision for a team of licensure-track, post-doctoral trainee/supervisors and oversight for clinical supervisors to ensure quality of care and training
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a plan to recruit and retain strong trainees and supervisory staff
  • Assist in developing a strong program of in-service and other training opportunities for licensed and pre-licensed clinical staff
  • Maintain a broad working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field
  • A part of the Clinical Director responsibilities will include direct services to clients

Requirements

  • Licensed clinical psychologist, 2-years of post-licensure experience preferred
  • Ability to practice independently in the State of California
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology earned at an APA accredited school of psychology
  • Clinical supervision and training experience
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice for the State of California
  • Completion of approved continuing education training in clinical supervision and law and ethics within six months of employment
