Admissions

SPECIAL ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Applicants whose gifts and calling have been verified by the church but who have not earned an accredited bachelor's or master's degree may be considered for admission to a Fuller degree or certificate program under Fuller's special admissions process.

Candidates for admission under Fuller's special admissions process are required to demonstrate a likelihood for success in a graduate course of studies at Fuller. In addition, applicants must demonstrate at least 12 years of work experience subsequent to the completion of a high school diploma and at least 3 years of full-time vocational ministry or at least 5 years of significant part-time ministry.

Students admitted under Fuller's special admissions process are initially admitted conditionally.

In addition, the following restrictions apply to those admitted through Fuller's special admissions process:

  • Applicants can apply to the Master of Divinity, MA in Theological Studies, MA in Theology and Ministry, MA in Global Missional Leadership, MA in Ministry and Leadership (employees of the Young Life staff only), and Certificate programs.
  • Students are required to take ST511:Orientation to Theological Studies in their first quarter of studies (Young Life staff in the Limited Enrollment Student program and Korean Studies applicants are currently exempt from this requirement)
  • Students are restricted to a limited number of units while on probation
  • Based on current federal guidelines, international students and some students who do not hold an accredited bachelor's degree may not be eligible for federal loans or work-study aid. If you have questions about your eligibility, talk to your admissions counselor.
