Degree Time Limits

Life happens. It is not always easy to balance earning a degree along with everything else going on. We understand. If you ever decide to take a break from your classes, no problem. You can jump back into your classes at any point as long as you have taken a course within 1 year (4 academic quarters).

Has it been more than a year?

If it's been more than one year since your last class, your student status is considered inactive. As an inactive student, if you care to take more classes at Fuller, you must apply for reinstatement through the Admissions Office. The process will start as the general application to Fuller, which you can complete online. You will have the option to apply for reinstatement. If you are reinstated, you will be able to take more classes as an active Fuller student.

We recommend that you consult an academic advisor about the classes you have remaining in your program or any other questions. In the meantime, feel free to view the upcoming courses on the class schedule.

Ultimate Program Deadline

Masters-level degree program students in the schools of Theology and Intercultural Studies must complete their degree within a span of 10 years. For example, if you started your program in Fall 2010, you must complete your degree by Summer 2020. Certificate students are allotted 7 years. If you surpass your deadline, your oldest courses begin to expire. All transfer credit is included in this ultimate program deadline.
