TO ENROLL:

Please enroll in student health insurance from your Fuller "MY ACCOUNT" from the registration page in SECTION 4, on or after your scheduled registration date.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

As part of Fuller Seminary’s commitment to fostering a healthy community, all students residing in Southern California who are registered on the Pasadena campus are required to maintain basic health insurance. Eligible students can meet this requirement either by purchasing health insurance through Fuller’s Student Health Insurance (SHI) office OR waivie out by demonstrating you have comparable health insurance coverage.

For the past several years, Fuller offered two health plans for students to choose from: an HMO plan through Kaiser Permanente and a PPO plan through Health Net. However, with Kaiser Permanente exiting the student health insurance market, we will NO LONGER be able to offer Kaiser Permanente as a Fuller SHI option beginning Fall quarter 2017. Health Net, whose participation with Fuller was contingent on Fuller’s access to a second health insurance option (i.e. Kaiser), will also NO LONGER be available through Fuller’s SHI after Summer 2017 quarter as well.

WAIVER

COMPLETE THE WAIVER

Check the Eligibility Requirement tab to see if you are required to carry insurance. If you are required to have health insurance and you have other coverage which meets the minimum insurance requirements, you are eligible to submit a waiver.

Waiver Requirements:

A student who would like to waive out of student health insurance must have their own insurance plan which offers a comparable level of coverage to what Fuller offers through its default PPO plan. Please contact the student health insurance office at shi@fuller.edu if you have more questions about waiving out of student health insurance.

The deadline to waive Fuller's student health insurance is the first Friday of the quarter.

Once you have waived, you do not need to waive again for the rest of the academic year (Fall-Summer)
