Merlin W. Call

Merlin W. Call earned an AB from Stanford University in 1951, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a JD in 1953 from Stanford School of Law, Order of the Coif. For a period of time in 1955 Call enrolled as a special student at Fuller Theological Seminary. Upon graduation from Stanford School of Law, he was on active duty in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 as a First Lieutenant with the Judge Advocate General Corps. His association with Tuttle and Taylor, Inc., began as an attorney in 1955. In 1961 he became a partner and served as vice president until 2000. He was a senior partner at Shapiro, Borenstein & Dupont from 2000 to 2002.
Merlin served as the board chair for five and one-half years, until 2006. At the September 2006 trustee meeting, Dr. Mouw announced that an endowed fellowship had been established in Merlin’s name and honor. The fellowship will help students with promise of future international leadership.
