Career Summary
Jim Hunt grew up in Houston, Texas, where he continues to reside. He attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Real Estate. Following graduation he served in the United States Air Force. In 1970 Jim founded North American Mortgage Company, which grew to be the largest mortgage company in Texas. In October 1986, he sold the company to Mutual of New York. Following the sale Jim founded Echo Lane Properties with investments in and development of apartments and other commercial real estate.

Jim is active in Grace Presbyterian Church and is an elder and trustee. He has chaired the Stewardship Committee and was chair of the committee charged with the successful purchase of a shopping center adjacent to the church property.
