This professional position represents Fuller in a wide variety of settings. The primary responsibilities are to establish, build, and maintain relationships with prospective students interested in the School of Psychology through in-house counseling, emails, telephone calls, on-campus events and off-campus recruitment. In addition, this person participates in the evaluation of applications for admission to the Marriage & Family and Clinical Psychology programs.

Essential Functions

  • Participates as an active member of the Fuller Seminary Admissions team
  • Participates in strategic planning for recruiting
  • Counsels prospective students on a daily basis, including conducting campus tours, meeting with individuals or groups and fielding a high volume of telephone and e-mail contacts
  • Recruits prospective students, including interviewing and recommending applicants for all programs
  • Evaluates applicant files and participates in decision making for assigned degree programs
  • Serves as the office’s liaison with the School of Psychology
  • Maintains ongoing contact with applicants from application to matriculation
  • Develops, in a team context, improved communication materials for a wide variety of prospective students and diverse programs
  • Provides a written response for inquiries and prospective students
  • Utilizes the office’s contact database (SRM) in order to adequately and efficiently build and maintain relationships with prospective students
  • Provides presentations about academic offerings and the admissions process during on-campus recruiting events
  • Maintains a travel schedule with the responsibility to represent Fuller at conferences, colleges, churches, and FTS alumni gatherings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Admissions leadership


  • Bachelor of Arts degree required, graduate theological experience highly preferred
  • Admissions experience highly desirable
  • Spanish fluency highly desirable; Korean fluency desirable
  • Ability to relate to people from a variety of ethnic and theological backgrounds
  • General competency with computers, including familiarity with relational databases
  • Familiarity of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and Excel
  • Customer service orientation necessary
  • Ability to learn about seminary programs in detail
  • Ability to sustain high levels of production, coordinate activities of complex nature, and exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Professional phone and office manner
  • Must be a team player
