Biographical Information:
Judy Balswick is senior professor of marital and family
therapy and has been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1977. She
came to Fuller in 1982, and was active in the transition of the Marriage and
Family program from the School of Theology to the School of Psychology in 1987.
In addition to Balswick’s many articles, chapters, and books
on family relationships, gender, and sexuality, she and her husband, Jack, have
coauthored numerous books, including Authentic Human Sexuality (2nd
edition, 2008), The Family: A Christian Perspective on the Contemporary Home
(3rd edition, 2007), A Model for Marriage: Covenant, Grace,
Empowerment, and Intimacy (2006), Relationship-Empowerment Parenting:
Building Formative and Fulfilling Relationship with Your Children (2003),
and Family Pain (1997).
Judy and her husband Jack speak throughout the
U.S. and internationally at marriage and relationship retreats and
workshops. Additionally, she enjoys
speaking for women’s groups.
