Intentional Community (IC)

Cooperative Living in Shared Homes and Cohousing Apartments

Residents in Intentional Community seek to share their life in Christ more fully as an integral component of the education and formation at Fuller Theological Seminary.  Madison Square is a cohousing community of self-contained apartment units with a central common house.  This community is open to students, faculty and staff from all three schools of the seminary. Singles, couples and families are all welcome.

Madison Square offer a lifestyle of education through intentional community living. The corporate core values of Fuller’s Intentional Community include:

  • Shared leadership
  • Consensus decision-making
  • Common meals
  • Regular community meetings (every 1-2 weeks)
  • Community chores
  • Various opportunities to build community
  • Quarterly day retreats
  • Hospitality to the seminary community

An Intentional Community Coordinator (ICC) is the Residential Community staff serving his or her respective Intentional Community. ICCs seek to serve as a communications link to Fuller Housing while encouraging the shared leadership model of the Intentional Communities.
