About N. T. Wright

N.T. Wright is the former Bishop of Durham in the Church of England and one of the world's leading New Testament scholars.    

Rev. Wright currently serves as chair of New Testament and Early Christianity at St. Mary’s College, School of Divinity, University of St. Andrews, in Scotland. For 20 years he taught New Testament studies at Cambridge, McGill, and Oxford universities, and prior to serving as Bishop of Durham he was Canon Theologian of Westminster Abbey and dean of Lichfield Cathedral. 

A prolific and award-winning author, Wright has written, among many other works, After You Believe (2010), Surprised by Hope (2007), Simply Christian (2006), The Challenge of Jesus (1999), and The Meaning of Jesus (coauthored with Marcus Borg, 1999), as well as the much-heralded series Christian Origins and the Question of God. He has been featured on such prominent broadcast media outlets as ABC News, Dateline, The Colbert Report, and Fresh Air.
