Fuller Seminary is located in the heart of beautiful Pasadena 20 minutes North-East of downtown Los Angeles. Many of the students are international students and come from over 60 different countries. When you arrive to Fuller, it is important that you meet with your International Advisor. Your International Advisor will assist you throughout your program at Fuller to help ensure you are meeting the requirements of your visa. However, it is your responsibility to know the requirements and adhere to them. Your International Advisor is available for questions and advice but he or she is not responsible for any negligence on the student’s part to remain in status.
The International Services Office is here to support you and help you adjust to life in the United States. We have a range of services available and can offer tips on things like opening a bank account, applying for a CA driver’s license, fun things to do in Southern California, etc. We also offer various events and informational seminars throughout the year to make things easier for you.
However, life in the US is often very different for most international students and the academic requirements at Fuller are rigorous and fast paced. It is common to experience anxiety, stress, and a sense of isolation especially during your initial few months at Fuller. Please know that throughout your period of cultural adjustment, the ISO is available to listen to you and offer advice and support.
Additionally, there is the All Seminary Council (student government) VP for International Students that supports students at Fuller. See the ASC Home Page for more information.
