Mignon R. Jacobs, PhD

Associate Provost for Accreditation and Educational Effectiveness

Mignon R. Jacobs, associate provost for accreditation and educational effectiveness and accreditation liaison officer, as well as associate professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, joined the School of Theology faculty in 1997.

Dr. Jacobs has currently published two books and a number of chapters and articles, primarily on the Prophets. She also has two forthcoming books: Israelite Prophecy and the Deuteronomistic History: Portrait, Reality and the Formation of a History (co-editor with Raymond F. Person Jr.; Society of Biblical Literature, forthcoming 2013) and Haggai and Malachi (NICOT; Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, forthcoming 2014).

Jacobs is past president of the Western Commission for the Study of Religion and past Regional Coordinator of the Pacific Coast Region of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL). She is currently the commissioner for the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and in the Assessment Leadership Academy of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
