The MATM or MAICS in Context

You can now earn the MATM or MAICS degree while remaining in your context. Your study can be primarily online, with just three one-week sessions at a Fuller campus.* To take maximum advantage of your online options, you would follow this plan:

  • Earn 72 units through online courses
  • Earn 24 units through six “Hybrid Plus” courses
    • Each Hybrid+ Course consists of nine weeks of online study plus one week of face-to-face study at a campus
    • When you come to a campus for that face-to-face requirement, you will take two courses during your one-week stay

With this plan you can complete the MATM or MAICS in three years. You may schedule your Hybrid+ classes according to your needs: take them all in one year, or one each year, or another combination—during the quarters that work best for you. Hybrid+ courses will be offered at four of Fuller's campuses: Pasadena, California Coast, Colorado, and Texas.

One sample schedule might look like this (your choices may differ):

Each Hybrid+ class is nine weeks of online study plus one week of face-to-face class time on a campus. Two Hybrid+ classes are always scheduled together, so that the face-to-face portion is held on the same campus in the same week.

** The MATM requires a 4-unit practicum; the MAICS requires 8 units.
