Parris, David
Associate Director of Fuller Colorado, Regional Campus and Assistant Professor of New Testament

Dr. David Parris is teaches courses ranging from exegesis, biblical interpretation and hermeneutics to I Corinthians, Matthew and The Miracles of Jesus. He also teaches Greek. Besides his expertise in the subject matter that he teaches he is famously known by students for his dry sense of humor and how he encourages each student to excel, especially in their writing skills. Dr. Parris’ hobbies and interests include cycling, skiing, photography and now his 8-month old grandson.

Dr. Parris has published three books and a fourth, Reception Theory and Biblical Hermeneutics, is due to come out this fall.


Naegeli, Mary
Adjunct Instructor

The Rev. Mary Holder Naegeli teaches courses such as Christian Formation and Discipleship, Teaching for Christian Formation, Teaching the Bible, and the Missional Church and Leadership.

She enjoys interacting with students about their call and effectiveness in ministry, as well teaching them transforming ideas to prepare them for their own teaching in future ministry.

Rev. Naegeli has published a nine-part group Bible Study, Understanding Jesus in the World of Luke (Presbyterians for Renewal) and currently is working on her Doctor of Ministry project entitled, Reclaiming the Ministry of Teaching in the Missional Setting.

The Rev. Naegeli is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Ministry degree program at Fuller Seminary and hopes to complete her degree by June 2010.

Her hobbies and interests include hiking, kayaking, world travel as well as gourmet cooking, quilting and singing.

Tibbs, Eve
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology

Eve Tibbs teaches the systematic theology series at Fuller’s regional campuses as well as on the main campus in Pasadena. Her academic interests include the Trinity, Personhood, Ecclesiology, East/West Christian exchange and comparison of theological ideas, and Eastern Orthodox theology. She recently published an article on “Eastern Orthodoxy” in the newly released IVP Global Dictionary of Theology and a chapter, “Colin Gunton’s Relational Anthrophology,” in an upcoming volume on the theology of Colin Gunton.

She enjoys the bidirectional aspects of teaching, and especially students’ “aha moments” when they see an issue from a new perspective or with greater clarity.

She co-chairs the Eastern Orthodox Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion, is a delegate to the National Council of churches, and is a chantor in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Eve has a wide variety of personal interests. She plays a mean game of ping-pong and enjoys graphic design and web editing, bread baking, metal crafting and driving race cars!
