Is the DMiss right for you?

The Doctor of Missiology degree program is right for you, if...

Who? ...you are an in-service leader.

The Doctor of Missiology (DMiss) is designed for Christian leaders who are currently serving in missional ministry contexts and who have a minimum of 5 years of significant missional experience.
Why? ...you aspire to affect change in your context.

The DMiss assists you in conducting missiological research that will address a problem or opportunity arising in your current ministry. From your research you will suggest practical and concrete application steps to see change in current ministry practices. Your work done in the DMiss will apply directly to the work and ministry in which you are engaged.
When? ...you prefer to study part-time.

The DMiss is designed to be completed in 4 years. Because you will remain in your current ministry role, you will work through the DMiss program on a part-time basis and can expect to spend an average of 12-15 hours per week on DMiss coursework.
Where? ...you want to stay where you are.

The DMiss degree program allows you to remain fully engaged in your current ministry context and leadership role. You will be required to attend one 2-week intensive course on campus each year, while completing coursework and conducting research from your current location.
How? ...you enjoy learning in a community of peers.

As a DMiss student you will join a cohort of 8-12 peers, which is a collaborative learning community, in which you will dialogue with, learn from, and critically engage other members as guided by the cohort faculty mentor(s). While much of your coursework and research will be completed independently, you and your cohort members will interact on a regular basis.
For what? ...you desire further equipping for transformational missional practice.

As a DMiss student you will:
  • forge new paradigms of missional engagement,
  • uncover new ways for directly impacting practical ministry, and
  • maximize leadership potential within your ministry.
