Exploring the relationship between ideas learned in the classroom and practical ministry is central to the formational learning process within our Masters and Certificate programs. As a student, you will not only glean from contemporary dialogues occurring in the field of intercultural studies, but we invite you to contribute your personal and diverse experiences to the ongoing conversations. Through regular interaction with fellow classmates, knowledgeable faculty, and academic study, you will find your experience of graduate, intercultural study to be challenging and enriching. 

Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies 

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies (MAICS) is a two year program for mid-career missionaries and international church and mission leaders. This degree exposes students to new possibilities for missiological praxis so that they meet the challenge of contextualizing the gospel in an increasingly global community. In addition, it enables practitioners to pursue coursework in one area of missiological study, culminating in a reflective and research-based writing project.

Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies and Master of Theology in Missiology (Korean Studies)
The School of Intercultural Studies' Korean Studies’ Program provides three degrees taught in Korean language: Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, Master of Theology in Missiology and Doctor of Ministry in Global Ministry. There are approximately 250 active students in the degree programs.  Students come from 34 countries around the world, speaking 32 languages. Our students are comprised of missionaries, mission organization leaders, local church pastors, lay leaders in mission, and professional tent-makers.
