Bio
Rev. Dr. Andrew Mkwaila is a missionary, pastor, and intercultural educator with more than two decades of experience serving churches and theological institutions in Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His teaching and supervisory work focus on missions and leadership in complex and diverse environments. Andrew loves the Church and is deeply committed to lifelong learning, bringing a reflective, practice-shaped approach that helps Christian leaders navigate change, exercise discernment, and serve with clarity and resilience in today’s global church.
Publications
Andrew’s current writing includes Sending and Receiving in Christian Mission, a forthcoming book with Cascade Books that examines mission dynamics in a changing global church. His published work spans mission, ecclesial practice, and leadership in complex ministry environments. This includes the edited volume Contemporary African Ministry: Ethical, Practical and Theological Issues, as well as published articles on missional ecclesiology and cross-cultural mission. He has also contributed to the Africa Study Bible, and has additional contracted publications underway.
