The following stipulations apply to Audit-Only status:
- Auditors are required to have met any prerequisites for the course.
- Course availability for auditors is first-come, first-served and space is limited.
- Auditors may register only after the enrollment deadline for credit students has passed.
- Auditors in online courses must fully participate, which means completing all assignments and discussions but receiving no grade and no evaluation from the instructor.
- In-person course auditors may sit and listen, but participate (in assignments and class discussions) only at the invitation of the course instructor.
- Many 500-level courses permit auditors as space or other limitations allow, but some 500-level courses do not permit auditors under any circumstances. For example, language (and language tools) courses are not available for auditors. Additionally, Audit-only students cannot audit FT5xx courses (with the exception of students providing transcript evidence of a prior degree in psychology and with approved petition).
