About Julie

I came to Fuller through a circuitous route–more than 30 years as a newspaper editor, investigative reporter, columnist, and author. Yet all through that time, my heart was in ministry. I served as a licensed Evangelist for more than 20 years in the Church of God in Christ, and I also worked with an African mission organization. Now I am Community Minister at St. Jude Oak Cliff in Dallas. I have an M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University, and I graduated with an M.Div. from The King’s Seminary in 2023. I’m a native of Milwaukee, but I’ve lived for more than three decades in Dallas with my husband, Larry. We have a son, Conor, who is a classical musician in Canada.
