About Misael

Misael Cornelio-Arias is a PhD candidate in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. His research explores Pentecostal theology, Latino spirituality, cultural hybridity, and Spirit-led mission in marginalized and transnational contexts. He is the author of Sent by the Spirit Missiology, a pneumatologically grounded framework that integrates theological reflection with empirical research. Misael holds an MA in Intercultural Studies from Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (Philippines), an MDiv from Fuller, and a BA from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (Dominican Republic). He has served as a missionary in India, the Philippines, and Singapore—experiences that shaped his theological imagination and pastoral praxis. His work centers on the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit across cultures and aims to amplify the contributions of marginalized Pentecostal communities for global mission today.
